Shrimaa Atelier began with a simple frustration: most occasion wear is either mass-produced or so heavily customised it loses what made you choose it in the first place. We wanted something in between — pieces built entirely around one person, from the first sketch to the final stitch.
Every commission starts as a conversation, not a catalogue. We talk through the occasion, the silhouette, the fabric, and the small details that make a piece feel personal — then draft, cut, and finish it by hand in our Kerala studio.
From first conversation to final fitting
No two commissions look the same, but the path to get there is consistent — four stages, each one building on the last.
Consultation
We start by understanding the occasion, your silhouette, and the feeling you want the piece to carry — in studio or over a call.
Design & fabric selection
We sketch the design and shortlist fabrics together, balancing what suits the occasion with what suits you.
Stitching & first fitting
Your piece is cut and constructed by hand, with a first fitting built in to check drape, movement, and fall before finishing begins.
Final fitting & handover
A last fitting to confirm every detail sits right, then the finished piece is pressed, packed, and handed over — ready to wear.
